WOMEN’S DAY EVENT AT CHARLTON HOUSE

On Thursday, 8th March the Women’s Action Network (WAN) Committee in Amnesty International UK will be in the Grand Salon at Charlton House, Charlton Village, on the Charlton Road between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm with a programme to celebrate International Women’s Day. The provisional programme will include:

Why the WAN is at Charlton House: Last July, with the generous support and collaboration of Greenwich Council, the WAN launched an Amnesty Peace Garden in the grounds. See it before you leave.

Charge: £3 to cover the cost of refreshments. Children free.

How to get there: By train, take a Southern train from Charing Cross or London Bridge Stations to Charlton Station. Either walk to the top of Church Lane outside, or take a bus (2 stops only). Cross the Charlton Road at the top, and continue into the grounds of Charlton House.
