Afghanistan: Our Country, Our Future (25 February 2009)
On 25 February 2009, Afghanistan: Our Country, Our Future, a groundbreaking conference by and for Afghans, was held at Canada House in central London. Led by the British-Afghan Women’s Society (BAWS), and supported by the Canadian High Commission in London and the UK’s Cross-Government Afghanistan Communications Team, the conference offered a distinct and unparalleled forum for Afghans, the Afghan diaspora and the international community to collaboratively develop concrete proposals for Afghanistan’s way forward.
